Supplies Needed for the Beginning of School

Please purchase and bring into class for your child’s scheduled first day:

  • One small backpack, just big enough for lunch, snacks and daily folder.  Our lockers are very small!! Please no wheels- they do not fit the lockers and will not be allowed in class.
  • One set of extra clothes- underwear, socks, shirt and pants- please put name on clear baggie (gallon size works well).  These will be kept in child’s locker and seasonally changed.
  • One package of latex free  #2 pencils- please sharpen
  • One package of colored pencils-please sharpen
  • One package glue sticks and one bottle school glue
  • One package washable markers ( aroma free and unscented)
  • One washable water color paint set
  • One package of white board markers (aroma free and unscented)
  • One small old stuffed item, size of child’s hand, to erase marker from white board
  • One box of crayons
  • One box gallon storage bags( to share)
  • One water bottle with lid they can remove.  These will be washed at school daily and kept in the classroom.
  • One small bottle of hand sanitizer
  • One shoe box with lid -please no boot boxes. Extras are always welcomed.
  • Two empty cereal boxes- the same size please.

We provide each student with a 4x5x9 inch plastic container for their personal use of items. It is very helpful to write the students name on the items.

Please provide/check daily:

  • Provide two small healthy snacks, one for an AM break and one for a PM snack. We are peanut free classroom.  The students that have this allergy sit at a special peanut free table in the lunchroom.  We do separate snacks at recess, so are alerted to where all sit. Reusable, recyclable containers are suggested.
  • Lunches may be purchased from the school.Home prepared lunches need to be in a container the child can open independently.  Milk is 65 cents.
  • Check and return daily the parent/school communication folder. A reading bag will go home with an assignment- please send back the next day.
  • Apply sunscreen at home.
  • Sneakers tie shoes or Velcro shoes are safest in school and required to participate in PE.
