Dear First Grade Families,
As we race merrily along through the second trimester, the holidays behind us and strangely warm weather all around us, I want to thank you for your continued involvement in your child's learning. All members of our Room 7 learning community are growing and gaining new knowledge by the day. Their hard work in the classroom is aided immeasurably by your advocacy, shared reading, and homework help. Please remember to fill out your child's reading log (twenty minutes nightly in Trimester 2) and remember that books-on-tape, read aloud, video game magazines, newspapers, etc all can be included in this most important endeavor. This current class is astounding me regularly with their achievment and i look forward to working with you to make this one of the best years of each of their lives!
Love,
Mr. Fraza

Current Schedules and Events
Upcoming Field Trips
Our field trip to the Providence Children's Museum is Wednesday. We are so excited!
Books We Are Reading
We are reading many, many books in Room Seven. Students are reading selections from our 30 Battle of the Books books independently. We just finished The Adventures of Robin Hood and His Merry Men as a read aloud, and we are starting E. B. White's classic Charlotte's Web after many impassioned student requests.

Wishlist
We can always use dry erase markers, and clean cut up cloth.
It would be wonderful if all of our students could have individual watercolor paint boxes.
