Dear Families, I look forward to an exciting fourth grade year. In order to ensure success in fourth grade, I am including a list of summer assignments and practice web sites. Students should come to fourth grade being fluent in multiplication facts 0-9. The following web sites are great for practice. · mathfactcafe.com · multiplication.com · funbrain.com I have also included a sheet that has 100 facts. Students should be able to complete this sheet in less than four minutes. Students should keep a reading log throughout the summer. I am assigning two summer reading novels. After reading each novel, each student should complete a one page summary. This should be in final copy form. One of these books must be a historical fiction and the other can be student choice. I have attached a graphic organizer to help with the summary. As always, your support at home is imperative to student success. Thank you in advance for supporting your child by helping them to create a homework and reading routine at home. I hope you have a restful summer and I look forward to seeing you all in August! Sincerely, Mrs. Dutton t Schedules and Events
